How to auto DM on Instagram

What you need

A Business or Creator Instagram account, and "Allow access to messages" turned on in Instagram's settings under Messages and story replies, then Message controls.

Choose the trigger

Most creators use a keyword: "Comment GUIDE and I'll DM you the link." You can also reply to every comment, to story replies, to story mentions or to a keyword someone sends you by DM.

Write the DM

Keep it short, add a link button, and say what they get. Instagram allows one private reply per comment, within 7 days of the comment.

Optional: ask them to follow first

With a follow check, people get a message with Visit Profile and I'm Following buttons. When they tap, CommentDM checks with Instagram and sends your DM once they follow.

Check it worked

Open Activity. Every comment shows as sent, waiting or not sent, with a reason, so you're never guessing.
