Best Instagram auto DM apps in 2026

How we compared them

Every app here sends an automatic Instagram DM when someone comments a keyword, using Instagram's official API. We looked at the cheapest plan with unlimited DMs, the free plan, how you're charged and what each does best. Prices are from each company's own pricing page, checked on 4 November 2026. We make CommentDM, so read with that in mind.

CommentDM: best for proof every DM was sent

Unlimited DMs from ₹299 / $7 a month, free plan with 100 DMs. Every DM has a status and a plain reason if it wasn't sent. Includes follow check, link buttons with click tracking, email and phone capture, a comment spam shield, missed-comment recovery and an app in 20 languages.

ManyChat: best for big chatbot flows

A full chatbot builder for Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and more. Paid plans start at $17 a month (Essential) and the price grows with your number of contacts. A good fit if you need multi-step flows across several channels.

InstantDM: best free plan

Free plan with 500 DMs a month. Unlimited plans start at $9.99 a month, billed yearly (Legend Pro). Popular with Indian creators.

SendDM: best for simple setup on the web

Plans start at $11 a month (Creator), and the free plan sends 300 DMs a month with a badge on messages.

Which one should you pick?

For one job, comment to DM, at a flat price with proof it worked, pick CommentDM. For chatbots across many apps, pick ManyChat. To start with the biggest free allowance, try InstantDM. Whatever you choose, never give an auto DM tool your Instagram password: the official API doesn't need it.
