Can you auto DM new followers on Instagram?

The short answer: not safely

Instagram's official API doesn't tell apps when someone follows you, so no approved tool can send a welcome DM to new followers. Tools that claim to do it usually log in with your password and act like a person, which breaks Instagram's rules and can get your account limited.

What you can automate instead

With the official API you can auto DM people who comment on your posts and reels, reply to your stories, mention you in a story or send you a DM. These are people who already showed interest, so the DM is welcome rather than spam.

Turn new followers into conversations

Pin a post or reel that says "Comment START and I'll send you the guide." New followers see it on your profile, comment, and get your DM automatically. With CommentDM's follow check you can also send the DM only to people who follow you.

Keep your account safe

Use a tool that logs in through Instagram's own page and never asks for your password. CommentDM sends below Instagram's hourly limit and queues busy posts in order.
